2. Install the latest updates

  1. Move the mouse cursor to the bottom right corner of the screen.
  2. Click the left mouse button or tap the Settings function in the menu that appears.
  3. Now from the Settings menu, left click or tap on Change PC settings option.
  4. In the next window, look for the Update and Recovery option and left click or tap on it.
  5. Now find the Verify Now button and left click or tap on it.
  6. The verification process takes up to 10 minutes and then gives you the updates you need to install.
  7. If updates are available, left click or tap the Install Updates feature for all available updates.
  8. After the updates are installed, left click or tap the Finish button.
  9. Restart your Windows 8 operating system.
  10. After the device boots up, double check that your email application is working properly.

3. Update your Microsoft Store apps

  5. Set the auto-update my apps feature to Yes

4. Sync your licenses

  1. On the Windows 8 Start screen, left-click or tap the Store icon.
  2. Move the mouse cursor to the bottom right corner of the screen.
  3. Click the left mouse button or tap the Settings function in the menu that appears.
  4. Left click or tap on the app updates feature.
  5. Left click or tap the Sync Licenses feature.

6. Now close the windows and right click or long press on the Mail app on the home screen.
7. In the submenu, click the left mouse button or tap the Delete function.
8. Left click or tap the Delete button again.
9. After the application uninstall is complete, left click or tap the Store icon on the Start                    screen.
10. In the store window, left click or tap on the Accounts option.
11. Now find and left click or tap on My Apps option.
12.  Right-click or press and hold the Mail app, then select install.
13. Restart the operating system after installing the email application.
14 . Double check if the app works.

5. Run SFC scan

  1. On the Windows 8.1 start screen, start typing: Command Prompt.
  2. After the search is complete, right-click or long-press the command prompt icon.
  3. In the menu that appears, left click or tap the Run as administrator function.
  4. You should now have the Command Prompt window with administrator privileges in front of you.
  5. In the command prompt window, type the following: sfc /scannow.

6. Press the Enter key on the keyboard.
7. Let the System File Checker complete the process.
8. When the verification is complete, at the command prompt, type: Exit.
9.  Press the Enter key on the keyboard.
10. Restart your PC.
11. Double-check that your email application is working properly.

6. Change your localization settings

  1. Open Control Panel > Select Region.

2. Go to the Location tab > set the home location in your country.

3. Go to the Administration tab > Change System Locale.
4. Select your country from the Regional Settings menu of the current system > press OK >              Apply.
